HELP-ELIX

support in organizing and carrying out international activities for young people


Brief description of the job:
The volunteer will work with the international team of the host organization for the promotion, organization and implementation of activities of international significance, both in sending and receiving, and especially for young people focus on environmental issues, sustainable development and heritage protection. In particular, the volunteer will be responsible for managing administrative support, communication and preparation for summer camps that involve volunteers Greeks abroad and foreign volunteers in Greece. The volunteer will also be provided by the team ELIX a short training course on conducting field summer.

Requirements:
It 'important to be motivated to carry out a project in the field of international youth activities. A basic knowledge of computer use and a good knowledge of English is essential given the duration of the project and the type of target group participating in the activities.


According to our principles and those of the program, ask the volunteer to:

¶ Be sure to take the path that leads to the application for a project, so as not to waste time that could be useful to follow someone more motivated

¶ Please be followed by several organizations simultaneously sending

¶ Be serious, sincere and open to different perspectives that could take

¶ Select the project mainly by theme according to their own interests rather than simply according to geographic destination.

¶ Take the opportunity to participate as soon as possible to the meetings general info on EVS-training



Terms:
The EVS program generally offers the volunteer the following support:

language course in the host country

¶ Accommodation and meals

Getting Around

¶ ¶ Pocket money per month set by the European Commission, specific to each country

¶ technical training (ie, the activity aims to play)

¶ A tutor for the duration of the EVS (ie, a contact person)

¶ A project manager (or the person for carrying out the activities of the service provided by the project)

¶ Valuation and certification of skills acquired during their service (Youth Pass)

interested parties should apply by completing the Application Form in English in the Annex, by return e-mail not later than evs@mezzogiorno.cemea.it March 26, 2010. E-mail must be clearly indicated on the project you intend to apply (The Adventures of HELP-ELIX). The means of communication throughout the selection process will be electronic mail (evs@mezzogiorno.cemea.it) and not telephone contact, as the contact person for the project could not be continuously and physically in the office. It therefore requires applicants to consult with your address regularly throughout the application process and selection. The selection will be made together with the host institution in order to encourage the best possible matching between local / proposed activities and voluntary participant. The results will be shared with the candidates (in case if not positive) within 10 days of the close of nominations. Thanks for your cooperation
